Life after Bangkok

Nov 10 - Nov 14.
Bangkok Trip!
How I wish it would be longer.
Like really really longer.
I felt like my holiday is so shortchanged.
Should have extended a few more days.
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
SHOULD HAVE EXTENDED!
ARRRRGGHHHH

No, I'm not being lazy.
I just need more time to rest.
I've been working too hard since Army days.
The day after I ORD, I started work with SBS.
Where is the justice?

Bangkok really set me thinking.
ALOT of thinking.
About life, about people, about riches and glory.

Life can be so unfair at times.

There are people who can spend money without any limit
where money feels like clouds.
but you, always having to scrimp and save every cent possible
and there are those who are worse off.
Where's the fairness here?

There are people who just look better than everyone else
and attracts all the attention to him/her
only to find yourself more inferior because of all the attention
but you, always having the need impress others that you're good
but you don't. where is the fairness here?

Pastor Kong's message once again set me thinking.
Besides the "Tall Poppy Syndrome",
Inferiority is the result of it and has it's poisonous effect.
When I hear Ps Kong sharing about how he fight in his life
to press on to that high calling of God to be different
I get inspired.
He's my role-model. BIG TIME.
When I see his life, I see mine and I will always reflect.

You don't need looks to get attention.
You don't need to impress to get love.
You don't need riches to satisfy your material needs.

It's okay to have these natural things:
Riches, looks, glory, attention.

But it's NOT OKAY to be dependent on these things to get success.

Life, wow. It gets even better.
It always does.
Just as when you thought it's the worst
You soar!

Soar today! You don't need too much natural talent to be who you are.
Be who God wants you to be!
